Just a few years ago taking the call from your cab to the airport was a big deal. Now we attend the meeting from the cab, edit the documents and transfer them to the home office from the airport and distribute team assignments while the plane is boarding. Mobile technology has transformed the way work is done, but it has not eliminated the need for home base. Primo Orpilla, co-founder of the San Francisco design firm Studio O+A, talks about coordinating the office in your pocket with the one you will return to after your trip is over.
